HI THERE.
I’M BRIDGET F. CLARK.
MY OFFICIAL BIO IS BELOW. IT’S WRITTEN BY ME.
IN THIRD PERSON. BECAUSE WRITING ABOUT YOURSELF IN THIRD PERSON IS NEVER WEIRD.
According to her parents, Bridget F. Clark’s love for storytelling began at a young age…perhaps when she gave herself what very well may be the most original middle name along with a creative, well-conceived case on why “Bridget Frosty Flower Flannery” totally worked for a preschooler who loved the winter holidays. Being human aside, how else was she to get the lead in any forthcoming sequels to 1969’s beloved Frosty the Snowman animated movie? (Sadly, her obsession had waned by the time the 1992 sequel, Frosty Returns, came around, so no, the “F.” above does not stand for Frosty Flower…or does it?)
Luckily, Bridget found a career path where she put her creativity, love for writing, and passion for helping people tell stories to good use. She’s now a communications leader with more than 25 years of experience helping major brands find and tell their stories. (With a side of a whole bunch of other stuff, naturally. She loves the operations of it all almost as much as she loves the communications work itself.)
Her hard work, enthusiasm, affable nature, love of big ideas, pragmatism and ability to drive amazing results have established Bridget as a go-to leader for fledgling, established and evolving communications functions alike. She’s cultivated a career developing and enriching programs that required strong perspective, strong experience, and a strong point of view. She’s been tapped many times over to create, build, and run corporate, internal and marketing communications functions and programs.
Most recently, she’s worked with NIKE, Inc. In her current role, she’s shaping the global strategy and program for the newly-formed Executive and Employee Communications team. As part of this work, she’s building an enterprise-wide leadership communications model to create a consistent, transparent employee communications experience for all Nike teammates. She’s also a key leader for enterprise employee communications programs and experiences, including moments like World Cup 2023 and the live global broadcast for Nike’s Maxims Award Show and Orange Carpet experience for award winners, executives and special guests. Prior to this role, Bridget led employee communications and experiences for the insights, design, product creation and merchandising team, supporting the president of Consumer Creation. When she first joined the swoosh, she was a global communications consultant before being offered a full time communications leadership role supporting the global product and merchandising analytics teams.
Before that, Bridget spent over 16 years at American Express. She started as a communications coordinator, taking on additional scope and accountabilities in various communications-centered roles throughout her tenure. In 2014, Bridget was tapped to create internal communications and corporate social responsibility programs from the ground up for the new American Express Global Business Travel joint venture. She led a communications program for the CEO and the executive team, introduced the company’s first ever social intranet and employee narrative, and led communications efforts for several transformational change and M&A projects.
In her free time, Bridget is a wife, a mom, a dog person. She’s a creator and a writer who enjoys the daily dance with her always-on brain, trying to wrangle seemingly endless thoughts into something creative, meaningful and/or cool. Hopefully all. Most recently, she’s taken up digital design in the fleeting moments between work, getting a hot family dinner on the table every night and trying to be the most chill (yet still number one) fan at her kids’ sporting events.
